The Starry Night is an oil painting done by Vincent van Gogh in June 1889.
It is perhaps one of his most famous paintings. He painted it from his room in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France. It is currently housed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, United States. The trees in the painting are cypresses and a wheat field is also visible.
