Tip 2
Use pictures, photographs, diagrams -- basically the more visual elements the better to break up long pieces of text which can be off-putting to many people. Pictures bring freshness to a blog post and grab people's attention.

This may sound obvious, but make sure you are signed up with a company that will put ads on your post. You'd be surprised how many people write a brilliant article, start seeing it get a huge number of views -- and then waste precious time wondering why no money is coming in! Google AdSense is the main way to put ads on your blog but you have to be eligible. Check the details on Google's AdSense page and you can also find tips for optimizing your ads there as well.

Promote, promote, promote. Did I mention promote? Use SNS (social networking service) channels to push your blog as much as possible. I'm talking about Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn -- wherever and whenever you can tell people about your blog, do so. You need as much traffic to your site as possible.

Go for quality rather than quantity. Spellcheck your posts, put effort into making them, take time and polish your text. This approach will work much better than simply churning out post after mediocre post.
